HTC Touch2 to run Windows Mobile 6.5

The latest smartphone by HTC was unveiled, known as the HTC Touch2. It incorporates a sleek compact and stylish form factor plus preloaded with the latest Windows phone software, Windows Mobile 6.5. The first ever HTC phone to run Windows Mobile 6.5 is the HTC Touch2, and Windows phone services like My Phone and Windows Marketplace. Utilising the Windows software, the HTC Touch2 is expected to accomplish an outstanding experience that will make it easier for consumers to stay connected with friends.

Peter Chou, Chief Executive Officer of the HTC Corporation said, “The HTC Touch2 delivers a familiar touch experience that millions of people have come to expect and rely on from HTC in their daily lives.” He also went on to say, ““Whether it’s making a call, checking in with a friend or simply responding to an important email, the HTC Touch2 puts you in touch and in control.”

The HTC Touch2 features the TouchFLO interface that provides access to contacts, calendars, media and the web. It also includes Youtube, Google Maps for Mobile, etc and allows users to manage multiple email accounts, packing in a zoom bar too.

The HTC Touch2 will be available on October 6, Q4 of 2009 in the European and Asian retailers.
